Frequently Asked Questions

Product & Features
Voxcar is an automotive management platform designed for car enthusiasts who demand more than basic maintenance tracking. Snap a photo of your service receipt, and every detail is instantly documented—parts installed, labor performed, and future recommendations. Ask questions about your specific vehicle's history and get expert answers. Track modifications, analyze track days, source rare parts, and preserve your vehicle's complete story. Voxcar understands your specific car's history and helps you make better decisions while preserving value.
Simply upload a photo or PDF of your service invoice, and Voxcar automatically extracts service details, parts information, labor costs, and maintenance recommendations. We can read receipts from any shop—dealerships, independent mechanics, or DIY work—and organize everything into your vehicle's permanent digital history. Behind the scenes, we use advanced vision models to read receipts and natural language processing to understand automotive terminology, brands, and service patterns specific to your vehicle.
Voxcar works with any vehicle—classic cars, modern sports cars, daily drivers, motorcycles, project cars, track cars, or entire collections. Whether you own a single weekend toy or manage a fleet of collectibles, Voxcar adapts to your needs. Track modifications on your track-prepped Miata, document restoration progress on your vintage Chevelle, or simply maintain service records for your family SUV.
Yes! You can upload photos or PDFs of old service receipts, and Voxcar will process them just like current invoices. If you have physical receipts, simply photograph them with your phone. Digital PDFs work too. All relevant details are extracted and added to your vehicle's history with the correct dates and mileage. You can backfill years of service history in minutes.
Uploading receipts is faster and more accurate—Voxcar extracts details you might forget to record manually, including specific part numbers, labor hours, and shop recommendations for future service. Manual entry gives you full control when you don't have a receipt (like DIY work or verbal recommendations). Both methods create the same comprehensive service history; receipts just save time.
Yes! Voxcar's Parts Department tracks every part installed on your vehicles, including part numbers, brands, and installation dates. When you need a replacement, you have the exact specifications. While Voxcar doesn't source parts directly (yet), having accurate part numbers, brands, and fitment details makes finding rare components much easier when searching specialty suppliers or forums.
Voxcar treats modifications just like any other service—upload the receipt, and everything is documented: what was installed, when, and at what mileage. Track your build progress, analyze costs, and maintain a complete modification timeline. This is invaluable for proving modifications to buyers, insurance claims, or just remembering what you've done to your car over the years.
Pricing & Plans
Voxcar is currently free during our beta program. Early beta users get full access to all features at no cost while we refine the platform. After beta, Voxcar will transition to a paid subscription model. Beta users will receive advance notice and special pricing as a thank you for helping us improve the platform.
We haven't finalized our post-beta trial policy yet, but we're committed to letting potential users experience Voxcar before committing to a subscription. Beta users will have continued access and won't need a trial—you'll already know the value Voxcar delivers.
Beta users get full access to all Voxcar features: unlimited vehicle tracking, unlimited receipt analysis, parts department, maintenance ToDos, trip tracking, cost analysis, expert chat for vehicle questions, and all future features we add during beta. There are no feature restrictions or limits during beta.
We'll announce pricing and the transition timeline at least 90 days before beta ends. Pricing will be designed for enthusiasts—affordable monthly or annual subscriptions with no per-vehicle limits. Beta users will receive exclusive early-bird pricing and advance notice.
We're still finalizing our pricing structure based on beta user feedback. Our goal is to keep it simple—one plan with all features, priced fairly for individual enthusiasts. We may offer team or collection management plans in the future for dealerships, clubs, or professional collectors.
After beta, we'll accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and digital payment methods. All payments are processed securely through industry-standard payment processors. We'll never store your credit card information directly.
Account & Security
During beta, Voxcar operates on an invitation-only basis. To request beta access, visit voxcar.com and fill out the beta registration form. We'll review your request and send you an invitation code via email. Once you receive your code, visit our registration page, enter your email, create a password, and you're in. You must be 18 or older to create a Voxcar account.
Absolutely. Your vehicle data, service records, and images are stored securely with industry-standard encryption. We use HTTPS for all connections, encrypt data at rest, and follow security best practices. Your data is isolated by user account—no one else can see your vehicles or service history unless you choose to share it.
Yes. You have full control over your data. You can delete your entire account and all associated data at any time through your account settings. We delete your data immediately upon request, except where required by state or federal law (including GDPR regulations). No questions asked.
Never. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or vehicle data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is yours. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for research purposes (e.g., "owners of 1990s sports cars spend X% more on maintenance"), but we'll never share anything that identifies you or your specific vehicles.
Voxcar uses third-party providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI to power our receipt analysis and chat features. When you upload a receipt or ask a question, that data is sent to these providers for processing. We only send what's necessary for analysis (receipt images, service history context), and these providers operate under strict data protection agreements. We never share your personal identifying information beyond what appears in the receipts you upload.
Technical & Support
Voxcar accepts PNG, JPEG, and PDF files. You can upload up to 10 images or 1 PDF per service record, with a maximum file size of 10MB per file and 20MB total per upload. Most phone camera photos and scanned receipts work perfectly. For best results, ensure receipts are clearly visible and well-lit.
Voxcar is highly accurate for professional shop receipts and invoices with clear formatting. Accuracy depends on receipt quality—well-formatted dealer invoices typically achieve 95%+ accuracy, while handwritten or faded receipts may require manual review. You can always review and edit extracted data before saving. The system learns from corrections, improving accuracy over time.
During beta, support is available via email at support@voxcar.com. We typically respond within 24 hours on business days. You can also submit feedback directly through the app. As we grow, we'll add live chat and expanded support hours.
Voxcar works on any modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on desktop, tablet, or mobile devices. The interface is fully responsive and optimized for mobile use—perfect for uploading receipts on the go. We recommend using the latest browser version for the best experience.
Yes! You can download your complete vehicle history, service records, and data exports at any time. We believe your data belongs to you, and you should never be locked into a platform. Export formats include PDF reports and structured data files (CSV/JSON) for importing into other systems.
Privacy & Legal
We use your uploaded images solely to provide Voxcar's services—analyzing receipts, extracting service data, and building your vehicle history. We only use images for marketing or promotional purposes when personally identifiable information (PII) is NOT visible—for example, showcasing our AI's ability to read a generic receipt or highlighting a beautiful car photo (with your permission). We never share receipts containing your name, address, or other identifying information publicly.
Yes. Voxcar follows GDPR principles including data minimization, purpose limitation, and user rights (access, correction, deletion). While Voxcar is based in the United States (Washington State), we respect GDPR requirements for users in the EU and offer the same data protections to all users regardless of location.
Only you. Your vehicles, service records, parts, and maintenance data are completely private and visible only to your account. We don't share your data with other users, and we never display your information publicly without your explicit consent. In the future, we may add optional sharing features (e.g., sharing a vehicle's history with a buyer), but sharing will always be opt-in and under your full control.
